Why doesn't ';Cold Case'; come out on DVD?

Not the A %26amp; E series, but the CBS one.Why doesn't ';Cold Case'; come out on DVD?
As a poster above me said, it is due to the really expensive music rights. (http://www.velocityreviews.com/forums/sh鈥?/a> ) Music plays a huge part on the show, so they can't eliminate it without the show losing a lot of what makes it what it is, but paying for the rights to all of those songs would be prohibitively expensive. I mean, they did an all Bruce Springsteen and an all U2 episode, for crying out loud. Other series have had similar problems. La Femme Nikita had to recall the first set of season two that it sent out, due to music issues (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm鈥?/a> ), and the second season of Malcolm in the Middle is in permanent hiatus due to music rights issues. (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm鈥?/a> ) And music plays nowhere near as big a part in Malcolm in the Middle as it did in Cold Case!

I hope they can get it figured out, but I am not at all optimistic. Why doesn't ';Cold Case'; come out on DVD?
Cuz it sucks.
no
It's being held up by the copyrights to the music on the episodes. They would have to pay too much money for royalties for the music to make it worthwhile to produce the DVDs.

';Quantum Leap'; seems to have faced some of the same issues, and they changed some of the music in the DVDs.
I wish I knew, along with Third Watch and Crossing Jordan. All three are great shows that deserve to be on DVD. If they can get the Simpsons, Family Guy, Seinfeld, etc (not that some of them aren't good shows) on DVD, then why can't they get these ones?
I read somewhere that it has to do with the music. It would take too much work to get all the artists to agree to allow it to be on DVD. Not sure if thats true but what I heard. You can read it here
No demand for it
Sometimes it just takes longer for some DVDs to get out than others...
