Magic Technique? Is there a good technique for getting a CD/DVD out of its case when it's in very tight?

Especially the Star Trek TOS DVD set I just bought. That thing in the middle which holds it in place is holding it so tight that I feel like a almost have to break the DVD to get it out, even if I press hard on the thing in the middle.Magic Technique? Is there a good technique for getting a CD/DVD out of its case when it's in very tight?
Instead of pushing down on the piece in the middle that's holding onto the dvd, try pinching the sides of it with something (pliers, visegrips, etc) since it is the sides of this thing that are actually holding onto the dvd.. not the middle of it.Magic Technique?
