You can purchase Linux distros on eBay very cheaply (enough to cover the person burning and mailing it to you). I would suggest this route for you.I have a window xp but i want ubuntu you know completely format xp but i don't have CD or DVD case to do that?
You could try Linux Mint. It's very similar to ubuntu and can be loaded from a usb stick. Download link and full instructions in link below.

When you run linux or ubuntu from a usb stick you are given the option to install. You get a choice to use part of the disk or the whole disk for the installation. If you choose to use the whole disk it will completely remove XP
You can install Ubuntu using a USB stick: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Instal鈥?/a>

I'd go with that approach if you don't have a CD recorder.
you just right click on one of ur drive(drive c or drive d)and there would be an option to format...follow the instruction and do the same with all the drives
