Model no. Hitachi GDR-3120L, the noise is definitely from the drive as I'm only bothered by it playing games. Streaming music or video from my MCE pc you can't notice any noise from the 360.

If you undo the case, get to the motor shaft, get a can of WD 40, that has a thin tube coming from the spray nozzle, and then a very, very short spray, leave for 10/15 mins to soak in, then try it, if that doesn't work, it means the centrifugal forces have changed, and to fix that would be to complicated to explain here, good luck.How can I make to DVD drive on my Xbox 360 quieter?
