Hi do you think it is wrong to purchase a dvd and then make a back-up copy of it in case it becomes scratched?

what if you buy a dvd full retail price say 拢14.99

i think it is fair to make a back-up of it since you own that dvd now, as long as you dont sell them it should be ok right? what do you think?Hi do you think it is wrong to purchase a dvd and then make a back-up copy of it in case it becomes scratched?
nothing wrong with that!Hi do you think it is wrong to purchase a dvd and then make a back-up copy of it in case it becomes scratched?
No it is merely a breach of copyright and you can be sued for damages by the publisher of the DVD
yeaaa thats fine jsut don't sell it!
Its illegal to copy it if you sell it for a profit. It is still illegal because of that FACT laws but like copying your cd to make a car stereo copy of it then thats similar to that. I totally agree with your opinion, its just how you go about getting round the dual layers and copy protection they throw at us.
yeah its yours as long as your not trying to sell it your not breaking the law
yes that's being very smart. If and accident was to happend you wouldn't have to worrie becasue you have a back up copy. Don't worrie about it you are doing the right thing.
it is illegal, that`s why some dvd`s are copy protected. it`s just the same as copying it then taking the original back to the shop for a refund. make a back up anyway, iv`e got cd`s in the car iv`e copied so if anyone breaks in iv`e still got the original.
duh!!! %26amp; whats this have to do with singles
In the UK it is perfectly legal
Perfectly fair and probably legal. You must not use both DVD's at the same time though.
I agree with you. It is always best to make a back up because they can be easily scratched or warped. You have paid for it as you say, so I don't see a problem with a back up.
no its perfectly elegal
No not at all! I remember getting a c.d that I paid for which got scratched and It was one of my favourites. I can tell you that I had to go and buy another one. Now I make sure I make a copy. I wasn't to pleased as they are meant to be scratch proof!
ITs perfectly fine and legal so dont worry!

Why do you think you can copy them in the first place... if it was illeagal you wouldnt be able to buy the software to do it from weel established places eg... pc world. currys, etc
