Can I report someone on Ebay for auctioning off a DVD box set, then sending a single case Cd with 4 cds in it.

I bought a Sopranos Season 5 DVD box set, The picture on the auction showed the Box Set, but I recieved a sealed regular DVD case with the 4 CD's in it. The picture on the DVD i recieved was of poor quality but it was the same picture as on the auction site. The only thing different was the Coloring of the letters which said The complete season five. The letters shown in the auction were white, the one i recieved, the letters were Red.Can I report someone on Ebay for auctioning off a DVD box set, then sending a single case Cd with 4 cds in it.
try contacting the seller and see what they have to say, if you are still not happy you can report them to E Bay. If you paid alot of money then I would pursue it. If you didn't pay much then just cut your losses and learn. I think most E Bay customers have bought things that have been disappointing but you have to decide whether or not to make a complaint or forget it. You can also leave negative feedbackCan I report someone on Ebay for auctioning off a DVD box set, then sending a single case Cd with 4 cds in it.
Yes you can beside on what you have stated. Ebay must confirm that item was different. Also you must read the agreement about item.
Sure you can, comes under Item not as described
sounds like bootleg

report them ';dan-o'; :-)
Yes. You have a case against this seller. Contact ebay and tell them what happened and if you paid with Pay Pal, call pay pal and they will hash it out for you.
No...because the person probably just used...a ';STOCK PHOTO'; a very common practice on eBay....if it wasn't specific in the ad itself, and you did in fact get what you bid on, what's the problem?

Which Progressive scan DVD player would be best in my case?

Im in the market for a new DVD player. I currently have a Panasonic RV-31 which does NOT have progressive scan. I have a 1080i Hi-Def Sony Display. Unfortunatly my display does not have DVI or HDMI. So my only option in terms of hi definition is input through Component. I was looking at the Zenith DVB318 which upscales through component and the Denon DVM1815. The Zenith does upconvert thru component, but I just want to know if the Denon is better because it is a higher end brand and with the fact that it is a changer and it has DCDi. Thanks for the help!Which Progressive scan DVD player would be best in my case?
You'll find that the ';de-interlacer'; (progressive scan-maker) in your HDTV does a better job than most inexpensive ';progressive scan'; DVD players. Most players can change from interlaced (480i) to progressive (480p) at the touch of a button, showing you in an instant which piece of equipment has the better ';de-interlacer'; or ';upconverter';. You'd be suprised at what you find.Which Progressive scan DVD player would be best in my case?
Sounds like you have pretty much worked through the issues.

Assuming you are sticking with DVD (i.e. passing on HD disks) -- and with a 720p/1080i HDTV you won't get that much improvement from HD disks compared to well upconverted DVDs -- you do need upconversion over component and choices are somewhat limited with new players.

Denon generally has a good name, but they have had some duds too, and reviews of the DVM1815 at the link are not too favourable overall. Unfortunately the Zenith didn't do that well either (see 2nd link).

I suggest you consider the problems identified with these two players and consider whether they ';kill the deal'; for you.

I have another option for you ... the Helios / NeuNeo HVD2085 (See last link). I don't know if it is still available but he Helios site shows the HVD2000 is and it upconverts over component to 1080i.

Hope this helps.
EXCELLENT QUESTION!

The Denon is by far the better machine. I've installed literally hundreds of Denon devices over the years and have had very few problems with any of them compared to other brands. Zenith, on the other hand, is problematic.

Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Do you think ';multi-regional DVD players'; ought to be a case for the Trade Descriptions Act?

I ask because I bought a DVD player a couple of years ago which was ';multi-regional';, and I naturally assumed that this meant I could play any DVD (nobody was going to tell me any different). So I buy some Region 1 DVDs through Amazon only to find that they don't play. Apparently, you can have a ';regional coding enhancement'; which stops so-called multi-regional DVD players from playing them. So I go back to the store and they tell me of a place that I should be able to get a ';decoder'; (in another town) so I go all the way there and they look at me like an idiot and tell me there's no such thing. I've found on the internet something about decoding DVD players but the thing is I'm not a techno-wiz and, frankly, I don't understand it. Anyway, my point is, surely its completely misleading to be sold DVD players that are termed ';multi-regional'; when they invariably do not play DVDs from other parts of the world, unless they're ';All Regions';. Should it not be regarded as illegal marketing?Do you think ';multi-regional DVD players'; ought to be a case for the Trade Descriptions Act?
There are a total of 10 regional codings for DVDs.

';Multi-region'; means the player will play discs from some or most regions, but NOT necessarily all.

';Region-free'; means the player will play discs from all regions.

My DVD recorder is Region free. I have bought DVDs from the U.S.A., Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, South America and Russia. I've never had a problem playing any of them.

You are misunderstanding the difference between ';Region free'; (which I have) and ';Multi-region'; (which you have). They are not the same thing.Do you think ';multi-regional DVD players'; ought to be a case for the Trade Descriptions Act?
The expresion ';multi region'; to me does not mean all regions. It implies to me that it will play DVD's from more than one region however is not implying that it plays them from every region. So I do not think this would be a case for the trades description act. The English language is very clever and words/statements can have various meanings depending on how it is read.
The multi regional will in fact play all your DVDs, you just need to re-code them and instructions and codes for all the models are widely available on the Internet
I agree to me multi regional means you can play dvds from anywhere.
More likely you have a case against the store for the sales people missleading you.

Case closed season 3 on dvd?

on Case Closed - Behind the Faade on season 3 volume 1 what episodes are on there does anyone knowCase closed season 3 on dvd?
can't find the info but I have found that it contains 6 episodes. Below is the episode list for season 3. most likely if it's the first volume it would be the first six episodes:

Why has Cold Case not been released on dvd yet?

There are rumours that it is because of the large amounts of music they use on the show. This would not be a problem with original compositions but the music on the show is already copyrighted. The distributors would need to pay royalties to the music companies and that would be costly compared to the money they would make from the DVDs.

You can sign the petition to the studio http://www.gopetition.com/online/9468.ht鈥?/a> but I wouldn't be holding my breath.
