How do you copy a mini-dvd's contents (in this case a camcorder video recording) onto a blank DVD?

I made a video recording on my camcorder which records onto a mini-dvd. I finalized the mini-dvd on the camcorder and put it into my computer and it played fine. Then I tried to copy the mini-dvd's contents onto a blank dvd and it wouldn't. It would say things like disc unwritable, unrecognizable, etc.
